PRIMARY HEALTH CARE THROUGH PROMOTION OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINE

PROMETRA Uganda, established the Nalugoma Forest School of Traditional Healers that It acts as an epicentre of mobilization and mutual interactions of traditional health practitioners, community members, researchers, university students and other actors altogether. This is PROMETRA core activity and is embedded in the organization’s strategy of promoting a holistic traditional medicine as a healthcare service delivery. Traditional healers at the Forest School convenes every Wednesday for three years to build their capacity with additional knowledge and skills to improve on their service delivery. Different themes are taught using the FAPEG self-proficiency method as seen in the different class categories below;
